  Marist student singers performed in the Senior High Fall Choral Concert on Oct. 26. The concert tradition returned after two years of performances without an audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.

  A life-size marble casting of Michelangelo’s ‘Pietà’ is on display at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta. The Carrara marble, exact casting of Pietà, is the 54th of only 100 authorized to be created and placed.

An oversized rosary is the centerpiece of Elisa Jiménez’s extended project, dedicated to the Blessed Mother. The collection also includes several canvas works.

  It was Sept. 19, 1846, that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to two children in La Salette, France. She lamented the sinful ways of mankind and gave the pair a message for the world: reconcile broken relationships with God, self and others. Today, the La Salette missionaries focus their work on the Eucharist and reconciliation.

• Youth in Mission accepting scholarship applications this fall

  Youth in Mission bridges the financial gap for teenagers and young adults with a mind to serve on mission trips. Eligible middle school, high school and college students who plan to participate in a 2022 mission trip can apply for a scholarships. The deadline is Nov. 15.

  In a Sept. 8 memo to priests, Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., outlined how the Archdiocese of Atlanta will implement Pope Francis’ Motu Proprio “Traditionis Custodes.” The Pope’s July Motu Proprio called on bishops around the world to limit the use of the pre-Vatican II Mass, citing the need for unity as the reason.
