Reach for Excellence marks 25th anniversary  

The Reach for Excellence at the Marist School organization began in 2001 to help students from working-class backgrounds prepare for college-prep high schools. Organizers, supporters and students celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

  A graduate of Pinecrest Academy made a guest appearance with the Augusta Symphony for its Symphonic Dances concert in May. Evelyn Fuentes is an up-and-coming musician whose talent earned her the privilege to share the stage with the symphony.
