  The Capuchin Franciscan priests serving in Atlanta and their volunteers are offering simple meals of comfort food to the homeless and hungry near the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Twice a week, people line up for meals outside the order’s food truck.

  “Garden” will have its first performance in Atlanta in a two-weekend run starting at the end of July. The Archdiocese of Atlanta and the ECHO Community are producing the musical, based on Genesis.

• GRACE Scholars makes Catholic education possible for Georgia youth

  During the most recent school year, the GRACE Scholars program dispersed more than $3.75 million in funds to Catholic school students demonstrating financial need. A taxpayer donating to the scholarship program receives a 100% credit on their Georgia income taxes for the contribution.

  Dressed in his graduation robe and linking arms with his older brothers, Devon Corbett made his way across the stage to receive his honorary diploma. Though he was unable to attend school for three years following a traumatic brain injury, Corbett was welcomed back with his class at the Marist School commencement ceremony May 20.

  The Catholic Foundation of North Georgia is marking its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1992 by Archbishop James P. Lyke and Msgr. Edward Dillon, its scope was expanded by Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory and a new foundation board of directors in 2008.
