Perla and Eric Freed celebrated the baptism of their daughter, Linda Gabriela, in St. Dominic Chapel at the Archdiocese of Atlanta Chancery.

Family and friends crowded the chapel for the noontime celebration on Wednesday, July 10.

“You could feel the love in the room. People were oohing and aaahing,” said Perla, who works in the finance department.

Bishop Luis R. Zarama performed the baptism.  It was said in both English and Spanish, so Perla’s mother, aunt and twin sister visiting from Honduras could participate.

The chapel has now hosted a baptism, first Communion and confirmation. Staff await a marriage, an ordination, anointing of the sick and reconciliation to complete all seven sacraments.
