Holy Spirit Boys End Seven-Game Slide

The Holy Spirit Preparatory girls played The Heritage School pretty tough, but they lost a close one 26-21. Holy Spirit struggled with their free throw shooting, hitting only 44 percent from the line. Sophomore guard Alexander Richards led Holy Spirit with 8 points. The Holy Spirit girls fall to 1-11 in the region and 4-17 overall.

The Holy Spirit boys had three players score in double figures as they beat The Heritage School 63-51. The boys were down by three after the first period, but they went on to outscore Heritage 41 to 19 in the second and third period. Senior guard Nigel Deen led Holy Spirit with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomores James Hanna and Dan Sickafoose also chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively. The boys move to 6-15 overall and 2-10 in region play.

Holy Spirit takes on Griffin Christian High School Friday, Feb. 8.
