Monsignor Donovan Boys Pull To .500 For The Season

The Monsignor Donovan High School boys made the Jan. 4 drive down to Stockbridge, where they faced Community Christian Academy, and they came away with a 75-61 victory. Monsignor Donovan broke a close game open in the second quarter and were up 39-23 at the half. They extended the lead to as much as 22 in the second half. Guard Andy Cray and forward/center Ben Waldron led the way with 19 points apiece, and their senior teammates Shea Glassman and Sam Tonge had 14 and 13 points, respectively. With the win the team reaches 4-4 on the season (1-0 in the region). Monsignor Donovan has two back-to-back home games as they face Augusta’s Curtis Baptist High School, Friday, Jan. 11, and Monticello’s Piedmont Academy, Saturday, Jan. 12.
