Holy Spirit Preparatory Keeps Fighting For A Win

The Holy Spirit Preparatory girls scored a season high 45 points but came up a tad short in their 48-45 loss to Calvary Christian School, Rockmart, Jan. 11. Sophomore forward Colleen Pelletier led Holy Spirit with 17 points. On Jan. 12 they lost on the road to Mount Vernon Presbyterian School by just two points (21-19). They played Mount Vernon close in the second half, but a couple of late game free throws was the difference in the game. The girls fell to 1-5 in the region and 4-11 overall.
The Holy Spirit boys were outscored by 14 points at the free throw line in their six-point loss, 49-43, to Calvary Christian School. Senior center Max Jones led Holy Spirit with 10 points and 11 rebounds. In their game against Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, Holy Spirit suffered a 35-point loss, 68-33, after being held to only 14 second half points. Holy Spirit falls to 5-10 overall.
Holy Spirit looks to get in the win column as they face The Heritage School of Newnan on Friday, Jan. 18.
