Atlanta’s Annual LifeChain Begins Respect Life Month

Published October 4, 2007

The Cathedral Pro-Life Committee and the Atlanta Pro-Life Office will sponsor the annual LifeChain to begin observance of October as Respect Life Month on Sunday, Oct. 7, in front of the Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta.

LifeChain is a one-hour silent prayer to end abortion, in solidarity with thousands across the country in this non-confrontational opportunity to show support for unborn babies and their mothers.

The faithful are encouraged to join Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory and clergy of the archdiocese in the peaceful, public witness for human life. Assembling will begin at 2:15 p.m., and the event will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. followed by the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 3:45 p.m. Those participating may park on Peachtree Road or in the Cathedral parking deck.
