Nagasaki Franciscan monastery stands as messenger of peace

Published August 12, 2025Eighty years ago two of the world’s deadliest weapons were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. But a Catholic monastery built in Nagasaki by a future martyr and saint survived and to this day brings a Franciscan message of peace.
