• Knights adapt Thanksgiving outreach to serve families

  Each fall, the Knights of Columbus Council 14181 at Good Samaritan Church holds a drive to collect enough food to feed approximately 100 needy families a Thanksgiving meal. The tradition continued with some pandemic revisions.

  Father Carlos Vargas knew his 1920s church wasn’t designed for a 21st century pandemic. The pastor of Good Samaritan Church, Ellijay, had to brainstorm ways to keep people connected to their faith once public Masses resumed.
