That’ll be Saint Pope John XXIII, or is it Saint John XXIII

With news of the upcoming canonization of Pope John XXIII, I am reposting this photo of a statue of him.

The statue sits outside Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Carrollton. It’s an abstract sculpture of the Italian pope, who opened the Vatican Council II.   What I like is how it portrays the hefty pope with an over-sized barrel chest.
