MARIETTA—The first recipient of the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council 4599 Shining Star scholarship to an 8th grade student is Parker Goff. The award was presented by District Deputy Chris McHugh. Parker received a $500 scholarship to assist in his education at Blessed Trinity High School. The presentation was made at St. Joseph School, Marietta, on May 23.   

The first recipient of the Rising Star Scholarship was awarded to Paige Cunningham by St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council 4599. Principal Ramon Villacura made the presentation to Paige on Friday, May 26. The first Shining Star Scholarship is also for $500, and it will further Paige’s education at St. Joseph School.
