Cancer home auxiliary to hold fundraiser auction, luncheon Oct. 20

Published October 4, 2018

ROSWELL—The annual Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home luncheon and auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Peter Chanel Church, 1330 Woodstock Road, Roswell. The luncheon will be at 11 a.m. in McNamee Hall.

The members of the auxiliary for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home provide this event each year as a major fundraiser for the revered Atlanta institution, along with a raffle ticket sale. The Hawthorne Dominican sisters established the home in 1939. The sisters provide palliative care for terminally ill cancer patients who cannot afford nursing care elsewhere. No payment is accepted from patients or their families.

This year’s luncheon theme is “A Bouquet of Loving Hearts.” The auction is a silent auction where baskets of various items and donated gifts are available for bidding. Also, gift cards to a variety of restaurants will be raffled.

For more information, contact your parish’s raffle ticket captain or call Emma Reynolds, luncheon chair, at 404-969-8017.
