Published March 9, 2017

TYRONE—Students at Our Lady of Victory School, Tyrone, recently had a clothing drive to collect items for people in need, including expecting mothers.

Young people in third, fourth and fifth grades collected 129 pairs of socks, four hats and four pairs of gloves for a men’s shelter and a pregnancy crisis center.

Father Kevin Hargaden, pastor of St. Matthew Church, Tyrone, blessed the clothing while surrounded by the students. The parish will deliver the socks and other items. He also talked to the students about Sts. Cyril and Methodist, whose feast day is Feb. 14.
