St. Mother Teresa exhibit, relic to travel around archdiocese

Published September 23, 2016

ATLANTA—An exhibit of 75 full color panels depicting the life story of St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata will be available for viewing at a number of parishes around the Archdiocese of Atlanta, beginning this month. The vibrant panels, provided by the Missionaries of Charity, St. Teresa’s religious order, tell the saint’s story from birth, tell of her vocation, and show her exemplary life of love and mercy, devoted to Jesus and serving the sick, poor, hungry, lonely and vulnerable.

The exhibit, which includes text and images, is in both English and Spanish, and is appropriate for all ages.

Along with the exhibit will be a first class relic of St. Teresa. At each site during the pilgrimage tour will be special Masses and services, and the chance to spend time in veneration and prayer while visiting the exhibit. All are invited and can bring an item to touch to her reliquary, making that item a third class relic for personal prayer and devotions.

The Missionaries of Charity ask that visitors do not bring donations but rather bring prayer intentions, leaving them for the intercessory prayers of the sisters and lay missionaries.
