LILBURN—On Sunday, Feb. 21, more than 100 members of the St. John Neumann Regional School community gathered in the school cafeteria to participate in a Stewardship Sunday event.
Using lunchmeat, cheese and bread donated by the school families and local businesses, more than 2,500 sandwiches were prepared for the benefit of Clyde’s Kitchen in downtown Atlanta.
The school has a long relationship with the kitchen, which is part of Crossroads Ministries and serves the homeless of the Atlanta area.
The school’s eighth-grade students take turns collecting and delivering fresh fruit to Clyde’s Kitchen monthly. While there, they take a tour of the facilities and help serve lunch. This most recent stewardship event was one of the largest for the school community in the quantity of food provided.
