Pastoral Plan to be focus of upcoming Black Catholic Ministry event

ATLANTA—“Faith in Action” is the subject of an upcoming meeting organized by the Office for Black Catholic Ministry and the black Catholic clergy of Atlanta.

The meeting will offer the opportunity to reflect and discuss the Archdiocesan Pastoral Plan for the black Catholic community in Atlanta. All are welcome to attend.

The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 2560 Tilson Road, Decatur. It is scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Facilitating the event is Dr. Kathleen Dorsey-Bellow, of Louisiana, who has served the Diocese of Lafayette and the Diocese of Lake Charles in various ministries, including social justice, liturgy, Christian initiation, black Catholic leadership and communications. Dorsey-Bellow has served as a team member with the North American Forum on the Catechumenate and recently completed long-term service as faculty/staff with the Institute for Black Catholic Studies of Xavier University of Louisiana. She continues to write, consult and present in various areas of adult faith formation.
