ATLANTA—Clipper Petroleum Foundation and Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance have awarded Immaculate Heart of Mary School grants to purchase SmartMicroScopes.
SmartMicroScopes are handheld digital microscopes that allow students to place the lens directly on the item to be explored in its natural, multi-dimensional state. Students can take still images and video recordings of specimens, including time-lapse videos to view changes over time.
These microscopes interact with classroom whiteboards to enhance teaching science in the third, fourth and fifth grades.
