MARIETTA—Mason Kane is now studying in Germany as part of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange program. He is a graduate of Walton High School.
Mason is a member of Holy Family Church in Marietta, with his parents, Christopher and Cecilia Kane, and sister, Brittany.
The program offers students the opportunity to live and study in Germany for one year. Jointly funded by the German and American governments, it is designed to give Americans an in-depth understanding of Germany through cultural and linguistic immersion.
Mason was one of five students participating from Georgia. A total of 50 students, ages 15 to 18, were chosen from the Eastern region of the United States. Students departed from Washington, D.C., after meeting with State Department officials, along with U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson and U.S. Rep. Tom Price.
