PALOS PARK, Ill.—Ethel Duncan Gregory, mother of Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory, died Dec. 10. She was 83.

Archbishop Gregory celebrated the funeral Mass at Holy Family Villa, where his mother resided, following a viewing on Dec. 14.  She was buried at Mary, Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.

A memorial Mass is to be celebrated in January at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta.

In addition to Archbishop Gregory, she is survived by her daughter, Elaine, and husband, William B. Swenson, of Vacaville, Calif.; and her daughter, Claudia, and husband, Robert Ferguson, of Philadelphia.
