MONASTERY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT hosts Fall Festival 2012 at the Trappist monastery, 2625 Highway 212, SW, Conyers, with events for all ages, families, children and adults. All events are free and include guided nature walks and a lecture series throughout the day on the “Good Earth,” covering the historic, natural and architectural aspects of the 2,300-acre site. ST. MATTHEW CHURCH hosts a craft fair at the church, 25 Wilkins Road, SW, Winder, in Hedges Hall. Many specialized vendors with unique gift items will display their wares. Crafts include hand-crocheted items, handmade jewelry, German lace table runners, dollies and ornaments, Bethlehem handcrafted religious figures, homemade candles and natural bath and body items, baby quilts, knitted hats and baby blankets, decorated flip flops, sweatshirts and jackets, paper crafts and more. There will also be a children’s section with crafts, moonwalk and face painting.
