New Leaders In Georgia Knights Of Columbus

From the Diocese of Savannah, Sanford Hillsman, of Albany, is the new state deputy of the Georgia State Council of the Knights of Columbus and will operate as the chief executive for the organization in the state. Hillsman, who had been serving as state secretary, is president of The 100 Black Men of America Chapter in Albany and a member of the organization’s international board of directors. He said, “We are determined to increase our ability to serve the needs of our communities and, where possible, become better fishers of men.”
Other state officers, including Knights from the Archdiocese of Atlanta, were also elected in May. Mark McMullen, of Mableton, is the new state secretary for the Catholic fraternal organization. Tim DeSmet, of Conyers, was elected to the office of state warden. Mark Hofmann, of Jackson, is the state advocate. Mark Corrigan, of Savannah, was elected state treasurer.
