Priest Assignments

ATLANTA—Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following changes in priest assignments.

Marist Father John Bolduc was assigned to assist with the Hispanic ministry at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Atlanta, and as part-time campus minister for the Hispanic Ministry at Marist School, Atlanta, effective March 15.

Bishop David P. Talley has been designated as a member of the board of Catholic Charities Atlanta, effective April 18.

Father Kizito Okeke has had faculties extended through April 30, 2014, and will continue to serve as parochial vicar at St. Theresa Church, Douglasville, effective April 26.

Father Joao Gualberto Ribeiro da Silva has been appointed to minister to the Portuguese-speaking community in the Archdiocese of Atlanta at Holy Family Church, Marietta, and St. Jude the Apostle Church, Sandy Springs, effective April 26.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Missionary of St. Francis de Sales Father Augustine Tharappel, regional superior, and appointed Father Mathew Elayadathamadam Varkey, MSFS, as pastor of St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Church, Loganville, effective April 26.
