Gridiron Athletes, SPX Coach Recognized

Nine members of St. Pius X High School’s football team received accolades from various sources last month. Four of the players were selected to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) Class AAA All-State team, seven players were selected to the Region 6-AAA team, and six were named to the All-DeKalb County team.
AJC Class AAA All-State Team
- Phineas Andrews, offensive lineman

Region 6-AAA Team
- Phineas Andrews, offensive lineman

The AJC also named Braswell the offensive player of the year for DeKalb County and head coach Paul Standard the county’s Coach of the Year.
