The Monastery of the Holy Spirit got a nice accolade in the January edition of Prevention magazine.

It is listed in the “Dream Destinations” article as one of 13 trips that together will provide “all the adventure, peace seeking, skill learning, pound paring and fitness building you’ve always dreamed of.”

The Conyers monastery is one of two locations listed as spiritual destinations. Its draw is “the holiness and serenity” of its 2,000-acre grounds, with hundreds of species of wildflowers and birds. Guests can attend lectures and devotional services with monks, the article continues.

The Trappist monks were unaware their community was going to get exposure in the top-selling national magazine. It had a six-month paid and verified circulation of 2.9 million readers, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
