Priest Assignments

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following priest assignments.

Upon the recommendation of Bishop Benoît Alowonou of the Diocese of Kpalimé, Togo (Africa), Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the appointment of Father Agbeko (Daniel) Gbadji as chaplain for the Francophone community in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. The appointment is effective beginning June 18 for a period of three years. Father Gbadji will reside at Holy Cross Church, Atlanta.

Father Arturo Haro-Palos, who has been serving as parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Blairsville, and assisting at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Cleveland, has been appointed full time as parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Blairsville, effective June 21.

Father Carlos Vargas, who serves as parochial vicar at St. Andrew Church, Roswell, will also be given the additional assignment as parochial vicar for all Spanish Masses at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Sandy Springs, effective June 21.

Father Gilbert Exume has been appointed as administrator at St. Matthew Church, Winder, effective July 12.

Father Sunny Joseph Punnakuziyil, MSFS, has been appointed as administrator at St. John Neumann Church, Lilburn, effective July 12.

Upon the recommendation of Father Eric Flood, the North American District Superior for The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, Archbishop Gregory has appointed Father Joel Eric Kiefer, FSSP, as parochial vicar at St. Francis de Sales Church, Mableton, effective July 13
