Cobb Food Pantry Seeking Donations

Published September 2, 2010

MUST Ministries, a faith-based, nonprofit charity, is at its lowest food level in years and needs help.

The organization’s cupboard has run out of food, from canned chicken and tuna to beans and spaghetti meals. In addition, supplies are low for rice, dry beans, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti.

The need in the last month is up more than 200 percent from 2009 and the demand is not slowing, according to MUST Ministries, which is based in Marietta. MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families, and children in Marietta, Smyrna and Cherokee County.

The nonprofit is asking people to consider organizing an emergency food drive at their churches, schools or business locations to help replenish food items of this ministry, which serves people in need.
