Annual Rosary Rally To Promote Marian Devotion

Published September 30, 2010

The 39th annual Archdiocesan Rosary Rally will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church. This year the Rosary Rally will be offered for an increase in Marian devotion, in keeping with the theme, “Rosaries from the Heart.”

The program will begin with solemn high Mass in Latin in the church. St. Francis de Sales Church will provide the music. Mass will be followed by a candlelight rosary procession outdoors, weather permitting. There will be light refreshments in the parish hall after the ceremony.

The Rosary Rally committee seeks to bring the archdiocese together in prayer, including and especially those who cannot attend, to support and promote devotion to the Mother of God, for all that she does.

Our Lady of Fatima requested “… the communion of reparation on the first Saturdays.” Since this message was important enough for her to come from heaven to impart, the committee would like to promote this beautiful devotion in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and to pray for the success of the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which was also a request of Our Lady at Fatima.

All are welcome to attend on Oct. 7, to offer prayers, love and devotion to the Mother of God. Those who cannot attend are invited to join in spirit.
