May Graduations At Catholic High Schools

The 54 seniors in the Class of 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy High School in Fayetteville will graduate on Saturday, May 15. The ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. on the OLM campus at 861 Evander Holyfield Highway.

The class valedictorian is Jessica Adams, the daughter of Rodney and Colleen Adams, members of St. Theresa Church in Douglasville.

The salutatorian is Lauren Woolums, the daughter of Jeff and Kristin Woolums. The family belongs to the parish of St. James the Apostle in McDonough.

Seniors at St. Pius X High School will also graduate on Saturday, May 15, in a ceremony that will take place at 9:30 a.m. in Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta.

The class valedictorian is Duncan Hathaway, the son of Maureen Hathaway, of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, and Douglas Hathaway, of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Atlanta.

The salutatorian is Kristin Buchanan, the daughter of Thomas and Porntipa Buchanan, who belong to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Atlanta.

There are 265 students in the St. Pius X Class of 2010.

Seniors at Monsignor Donovan High School in Athens will also graduate on Saturday, May 15. The ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. on the school campus at 590 Lavender Road.

The class valedictorian is Scott Gilman Glassman, the son of Alan and Maggie Glassman of St. Joseph Church in Athens.

The salutatorian is Erin Elizabeth Curtis, the daughter of Mark and Melissa Curtis, of the Catholic Center at the University of Georgia.

There are 29 students in the Class of 2010.

The 181 seniors at Blessed Trinity High School will graduate on Saturday, May 22. The ceremony takes place at 3 p.m. on the campus at 11320 Woodstock Road in Roswell.

The class valedictorian is Stephen E. Lago, the son of Dave and Teresa Lago, who are members of St. Peter Chanel Church in Roswell.

The salutatorian is Cassandra C. Merrigan, the daughter of James and Beth Merrigan, who are also members of St. Peter Chanel Church.

Seniors at the Marist School will graduate on Saturday, May 22, at

2 p.m. in the Centennial Center on Marist’s campus, 3790 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta.

The class valedictorian is Alexandra Marie Noonan, the daughter of Tim Noonan and Julie Vickers, who are members of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta.

The salutatorian is Charles Thomas Fortin, the son of Ray and Julie Fortin, members of St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church, Atlanta.

There are 197 students in the Marist Class of 2010.

The 52 seniors in the Class of 2010 at Holy Spirit Preparatory School will graduate on Tuesday, May 25. The commencement ceremony takes place in Holy Spirit Church, 4449 Northside Drive, Atlanta, at 12:30 p.m. There is a baccalaureate Mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by a graduate luncheon at 11:30 a.m.

The names of the class valedictorian and salutatorian have not yet been announced.

Seniors at Pinecrest Academy will graduate on Saturday, May 29. The ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. with baccalaureate Mass followed by commencement exercises on the campus at 955 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming.

The class valedictorian for the Boys School is Adam Hanif, the son of Mary and Zahid Hanif of St. Benedict Church, Johns Creek, and for the Girls School is Elizabeth Welty, the daughter of Joan and Kenneth Welty, who are members of Lanier United Methodist Church, Cumming.

The salutatorian is for the Boys School is Kevin Metz, the son of Marion and Pat Metz of Mary Our Queen Church, Norcross, and for the Girls School is Samantha Swygman, the daughter of Kathy and Rick Swygman, members of St. Monica Church, Duluth.

There are 53 students in the Pinecrest Academy Class of 2010.
