Catholic Charities Seminars To Be Held In May

Following are the seminars offered by Catholic Charities Atlanta during May.

Disaster Response & Preparedness 101 (in English)

Date/time: May 11, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Location: St. Philip Benizi Church, 591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro

Presentation will provide basic information around types of disasters, terminology, what some of the needs will be in parishes, neighborhoods  and communities, and who should be part of this process.

Cost is $5.00 per person. A minimum of 10 persons is needed for the seminar.

Immigration 101, Raid Response, Know your Rights (in English and Spanish) 

Date/time: May 25, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Location: St. Lawrence Church, 319 Grayson Hwy., Lawrenceville

Presentation will include an introduction to the immigration system, the government agencies, information about raids, and the process of law to attain legal status.

Cost is $5.00 per person. A minimum of 10 persons is needed for the seminar.
