Holy Spirit Girls, Boys Win Jr. High Championship

The junior high boys and girls of Holy Spirit Preparatory School, Atlanta, won the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference (MAAC) basketball championship Feb. 4. The boys team, coached by Brian Moscona, defeated Arbor Montessori 56-44. Jonah Raus was the leading scorer with 25 points, followed by Christian Jerrum with 20. Brendan McKiernan coaches the girls team, which beat Atlanta Academy 27-10. The girls went undefeated throughout the regular season and tournament play.
