St. Anthony Church To Host Healing Mission

St. Anthony Church will host Augustinian Father Albert MacPherson, of the Augustinian Healing Ministry, who will lead a parish healing mission on Sunday through Wednesday, Feb. 7 to 10. All are welcome to participate in the mission.

Father MacPherson will preach at the weekend Masses at St. Anthony, on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.

The mission will begin on Sunday at 1 p.m. with prayer and supplication. On Monday, Father MacPherson will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m., followed by the sacrament of reconciliation. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Father MacPherson will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. with a prayer service for healing following.

The priest began full-time healing ministry in 1983 after 14 years’ experience in spiritual renewal work, including 10 years of pastoral experience in parishes in Ontario, New York and Florida.

Born in Nova Scotia in 1941 into a family of 13 children, Father MacPherson was ordained to priesthood in 1974. He is a graduate of the theological studies program at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and is a member of the Association of Christian Therapists.

For over 25 years, Father MacPherson has ministered in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean Islands. Thousands have been spiritually, psychologically and physically helped through his healing ministry.
