Nationally known speaker and teacher Aggie Neck will address women at the August Magnificat breakfast to be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Killian Hall.

A gifted leader, she directs Servant House, a Catholic charismatic house of prayer in Marksville, La., that focuses on spiritual direction, inner healing, prayer for healing and outreach. Servant House was dedicated 20 years ago.

She has been in national leadership for the Catholic charismatic renewal for many years, serving as a member of its National Service Committee for 10 years and as its chairman for seven years. In her home diocese of Alexandria, La., she serves on the Diocesan Service Committee for the Catholic charismatic renewal. Aggie and her husband, Clyde, have three children and four grandchildren.

“Jesus led me to discover who I am in Him,” she said of her Catholic faith. “He has opened my eyes to see and understand that I have value and ability in and through Him. After an automobile accident and being in recovery for one year, I was gently led to the loving God who was somehow in my life but not really a living part of it. The journey has been exciting and rewarding.”

All women are invited to attend the Magnificat breakfast, which is held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Killian Hall, 908 Killian Hill Road in Lilburn. At each breakfast, in addition to the meal and speaker’s testimony, there is a time of prayer with a music ministry. The sacrament of reconciliation is available after the breakfast.

Magnificat is an international ministry to Catholic women inspired by the friendship between Mary and Elizabeth in which they found a common love of God and strength in telling their stories of his wonders in their lives and their gratitude. It is a time of shared faith, socializing and friendship with other women in a relaxed, prayerful atmosphere. The Atlanta Joyful Visitation chapter of Magnificat has been hosting quarterly breakfasts for over 15 years.

The cost is $10 per person and advance reservations are needed by Aug. 1. There are no reservations accepted at the door the morning of the breakfast. Please send name, address, telephone number and parish name, if applicable, along with a check payable to Magnificat Joyful Visitation, to Lynda Cupell, 2140 Briarwillow Drive, NE, Atlanta, GA 30345. No ticket will be returned. Check-in will be at the door the day of the breakfast for those with reservations. Requests must be postmarked by July 29.

Priests and religious are invited to Magnificat on a complimentary basis, but reservations are still requested to ensure proper meal planning.

There is no child care available. Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children not be in attendance.
