Blessed Trinity Boys Reach State Semifinals

In state basketball playoff action, Blessed Trinity High School defeated Dade County 90-68 March 7 at The Forum, Rome. Blessed Trinity led 31-20 at the half and stretched the lead to 58-41 by the end of the third period. With four minutes remaining in the game, Dade County rallied to pull within six points, but Blessed Trinity pulled away to win by 22. Blessed Trinity had four players in double figures: shooting guard Ryan LeGates (25 pts.), forward Arris Brundidge (23 pts.), shooting guard Brendan Corcoran (13 pts.) and point guard Austin Cremins (12 pts.). The victory puts Blessed Trinity (25-6) in the Class AA state final four for the first time in school history. They will face Greene County (20-8) on Thursday, March 12, at the Macon Centreplex.
