St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Smyrna, held its annual Summerfest and Kermesse (church fundraising festival) at Jim Miller Park on Sunday, Aug. 3. As part of the festivities, the Knights of Columbus Council 12386 set up, organized and ran a giant inflatable slide, which was a popular part of the day. American Family Day of Marietta donated the slide for the event.

The Knights raised over $860, which went to St. Thomas to support ministries and ongoing activities at the church.
