BT Boys Remain Undefeated; Girls Win, Too

The Blessed Trinity High School boys are on an eight-game winning streak after two more victories. On Dec. 7 they defeated region adversary North Atlanta High School 64-51. Tyler Cerone (19 points) and Jordan Callahan (15 points) led the team in scoring. The two senior guards combined for seven 3-pointers and were a combined five-for-five from the free-throw line. On Dec. 8 they also beat Pace Academy 78-43. All 11 team members scored as Blessed Trinity jumped out to a 37-15 halftime lead over the North Atlanta team. Callahan scored 12 points and junior forward Arris Brundidge added 10 points in the victory.

The Blessed Trinity girls improved to 3-5 with wins over North Atlanta High School (54-38) and Pace Academy (67-46). In the North Atlanta game, the scoring leaders were junior guard Riley Cerone (11 points), senior guard/forward Colleen Bauer (9 points), and junior guard/forward Caroline Robb (8 points). Bauer (21 points), Cerone (12 points) and Robb (10 points) all scored in double figures in the win over Pace Academy.

Blessed Trinity boys play at home against Mt. Zion High School Dec. 14 and Adairsville High School Dec. 15. The girls are idle until the Westminster tournament Dec. 27.
