Polish Community To Hold Christmas Events

The Atlanta Polish community has scheduled a number of Masses for the holiday season. All in the community are welcome to attend.

Father Janusz Zych, SCh, will celebrate the regularly scheduled Mass in Polish at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 and 17, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Church, Lawrenceville. Mass in Polish will also be celebrated on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 4:30 p.m. at Mary Our Queen Church, Norcross.

On Dec. 10, 17 and 24, the sacrament of reconciliation will be offered, beginning at 1 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s. On Dec. 10 only, reconciliation will also be offered at Mary Our Queen at 4 p.m., just before Mass.

On Sunday, Dec. 24, the vigil Mass for Christmas (Pasterka) will be celebrated in Polish at 10 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s.

On Monday, Dec. 25, the Mass for the Nativity of the Lord will be celebrated in Polish at 2 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s.

On Sunday, Dec. 31, the Mass for the feast of the Holy Family will be celebrated in Polish at 2 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s. During the Mass, a renewal of marriage vows will be offered. A Mass for the ending of the year will be celebrated in Polish at 8 p.m., just prior to the New Year’s Eve ball in the parish hall at St. Marguerite’s.

On Monday, Jan. 1, a Mass for the new year, offered for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, will be celebrated in Polish at 2 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s.

On the Epiphany of the Lord, Sunday, Jan. 7, Mass will be celebrated in Polish at 2 p.m. at St. Marguerite’s and at 4:30 p.m. at Mary Our Queen. The service will include the blessing of chalk, incense and water.

St. Marguerite d’Youville Church is located at 85 Gloster Road, Lawrenceville. Mary Our Queen Church is located at 6260 The Corners Parkway, Norcross.
