Published September 7, 2006

The St. Jude the Apostle music ministry will present organist St. James E. Goettsche, principal organist for the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, in a recital to dedicate the new Allen digital organ at the Sandy Springs church, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 8 p.m.

This recital offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the music of Maestro Goettsche, who is the first American-born principal organist at St. Peter’s. He was appointed by Pope John Paul II and continues to serve at the request of Pope Benedict XVI.

St. Jude is located at 7171 Glenridge Drive, one mile east of Roswell Road, at the intersection of Glenridge and Spalding Drive.
