Holy Trinity Choirs To Present Praise Concert

Published September 7, 2006

Holy Trinity Church will present a concert of praise on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. The one-hour program, entitled “Voices,” reflects the many voices of music lifted in prayer and praise. This concert, which is an outgrowth of Holy Trinity summer choirs, combines adult and youth voices, guest soloists and instruments to present favorites both contemporary and classical works.

Included in the program are “Hosanna” and “Pie Jesu” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Selah’s versions of “Oh, Draw Me Lord” and “You Raise Me Up,” Patrick Doyle’s “Non Nobis Domine,” “Regina Coeli” from Mascagni’s opera “Cavalleria Rusticana,” and more. The program will also include a premiere of “Lullaby for Peace” by Bob Smith. The concept was envisioned by cantor Maria Pia Ugarte and is under the direction of music director Claire Stroud.

All are welcome to attend the concert, which is free and open to the public.

Holy Trinity Church is located 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, at the intersection of Walt Banks Road and Highway 54.
