McDonough Parish To Host Pro-Life Speakers

St. James the Apostle Church will host a Respect for Life presentation on Sunday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. All interested Catholics are invited to attend.

Father Denis Wilde, OSA, of Priests For Life, will speak at the event, along with Josh Brahm from Georgia Right to Life, to increase awareness of pro-life issues versus pro-choice issues and to encourage Catholics to act on and defend their Christian values and beliefs relative to respect for all life.

Father Wilde, who will also be speaking at all Masses at the parish that weekend, is a member of the Augustinian Province of St. Thomas of Villanova and served on the faculty of Villanova University from 1977 to 1998. In 1998 he was given permission by his superiors to serve full-time in the Priests for Life ministry.

Brahm is the director of education and public relations for Georgia Right to Life and is also the founder and former president of Georgia Teens for Life. He is an expert on the issues of abortion, teen sexuality and stem cell research.
