Catholic Charities is providing continued services and support to hurricane evacuees and has established an emergency assistance program located at Grace United Methodist Church on Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta, in collaboration with the regional council of churches. Through this program, other nonprofit agencies and Catholic Charities provide assistance such as housing counseling, employment services and referrals, and family counseling, specifically for those who moved to Atlanta in the wake of last year’s hurricanes in the Gulf Coast region.
