Craft Supplies, Prizes, Donations Needed for Youth Event

Published October 6, 2005

Donations are needed for various projects for the National Catholic Youth Conference, especially in the Thematic (Interactive) Park.

Donations are especially needed for the arts and crafts area, including scissors, hole punchers, construction paper, black poster board, pens, foam core, glue sticks and religious art (old cards, etc.) for covers of prayer journals.

General supplies needed include reams of white or colored paper, raffle prizes and candy.

Knights of Columbus Councils are also asked to donate money that will be put toward volunteer T-shirts.

There will be a photo-mosaic wall mural within the thematic park, and high-resolution, close-up photos of teens and youth groups are needed to complete the mural.

For a complete list of items needed, visit www.atlyouth.org, or call Janice Givens at (770) 663-8807. Photos can be e-mailed to Givens in jpg. format, at richandjanice@bellsouth.net.

In addition, supplies are being collected for care packages that will be made by the teens at NCYC and donated to military families, hurricane survivors and orphanages. For more information about care package donations, e-mail Victoria and Ziad Haddad at vzhaddad@yahoo.com.
