To make a monetary donation, give through your parish or donate directly to Catholic Charities USA:
Online using a credit card at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org.
Call (800) 919-9338 to make a contribution using a credit card. Mail a check, payable to Catholic Charities USA, to the following address: Catholic Charities USA, P.O. Box 25168, Alexandria, VA, 22313-9788. Please designate your donation as 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund.
To donate food, toiletries and other goods, contact Catholic Social Services at (404) 881-6571 or (404) 885-7271 or www.cssatlanta.com.
To volunteer, contact your parish or contact Hands-On Atlanta at www.handsonatlanta.org.
To offer temporary housing, contact www.openyourhome.com, myfamilycanhelp.com or www.hurricanehousing.org.
To register your congregation in Georgia as a resource for relocated individuals and families as part of Connecting Georgia’s Faith Based Partners, go to www.connections.org.
To assist Saint Joseph Mercy Care Services in providing health care to evacuees, call volunteer coordinator Lia Cornejo at (404) 880-3568. The group is seeking medical and other volunteers, as well as donations of toiletries and medical supplies.
To assist the work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, contact www.svdpusa.org to donate to the national office.
