Fall Festival Features Fun For Everyone

Published September 1, 2005

The seventh annual Mary Our Queen Church Fall Festival is set for the first weekend in October, and the grounds and multi-level parking lot of the church will soon be brimming with amusement rides and games, arts and crafts, food, flea market finds, entertainment, “fun” runners and auction bidders.

The first Mary Our Queen festival was celebrated in 1999, and the event has grown larger each year since. All proceeds from the festival are donated to local charities. In the last six years, Mary Our Queen Church has donated over $85,000 to local charities such as The Rainbow Village, Good Shepherd Services, Our Lady of the Americas Mission and Norcross Cooperative Ministry.

This year’s fall festival promises to be the best yet, with festivities beginning on Friday evening, Sept. 30, from 6-10 p.m. and continuing on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

On Friday, the festival offers midway amusement rides and games, bingo, teen concert and refreshments. On Saturday, activities include a fun run/walk, entertainment, amusement rides and games, flea market, bingo, cake walk and bake sale, story time for the children, arts and crafts, and booths offering books, sporting goods and other fare. The silent auction will begin Friday night and end Saturday.

All are welcome to join the Mary Our Queen parish community for this event. Mary Our Queen Church is located at 6260 Corners Parkway in Peachtree Corners Circle, Norcross.
