Golf Tournament To Benefit Tyrone Parish Choir

Published August 18, 2005

St. Matthew Church will hold its annual golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 12, at the River’s Edge Golf Course in Fayetteville. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward upgrades to the church’s choir facilities on Kirkley Road in Tyrone.

Now in its eighth year, the fun-filled golf tournament will feature a $1 million hole-in-one shootout. A second hole-in-one contest will give all participants the chance to win a vehicle from Wade Ford of Smyrna. Golfers can also enter the $10,000 putting contest sponsored by Aitken & Aitken Realty Services and Slepian & Schwartz, LLC.

The entry fee of $100 entitles golfers to a shot at the $1 million prize, as well as lunch provided by W.K. Café of Peachtree City and dinner provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill of Peachtree City.

Golf carts and range balls will be provided, as well as on-course refreshments, door prizes and trophies. Participating golfers are also invited to test their skills against Father Victor Galier, pastor of St. Matthew’s, on a Par 3.

To register or for more information, contact Roy Trout at (678) 364-0722. A portion of all entry fees is tax deductible.
