Catholic High Schools Graduate, Honor Seniors

Our Lady of Mercy High School

FAIRBURN—Our Lady of Mercy High School will hold its third graduation ceremony and Baccalaureate Mass on Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m. at St. Matthew Church in Tyrone with Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory as the main celebrant and Archbishop-emeritus John F. Donoghue as the main concelebrant. This is the second graduating class to have spent all four years at the school since its opening in 2000, and 56 seniors will graduate. The valedictorian for the class of 2005 is Maricar Soluren, a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Hapeville. The salutatorian is Robyn Keuler, a member of St. Gabriel Church, Fayetteville.

St. Pius X High School

ATLANTA—St. Pius X High School graduated 243 seniors on Saturday, May 21, at Symphony Hall in Atlanta at 10 a.m. with Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory as the main celebrant. The valedictorian for the class of 2005 is Steven Orr, the son of James and Marion Orr of Atlanta, members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta. The salutatorian is Laura Fontaine, the daughter of Richard and Pauline Fontaine of Atlanta, members of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta. St. Pius had its Baccalaureate Mass at St. Brigid Church in Alpharetta on Friday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. with Archbishop Gregory as the main celebrant.

Marist School

ATLANTA—The Marist School class of 2005 graduated 189 seniors on Saturday, May 21, in the Centennial Center at Marist School at 2 p.m. The Baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 20, also in the Centennial Center at 8 p.m. The valedictorian for the class of 2005 is Adna Muliawan, the son of Johan and Ina Muliawan of Alpharetta, members of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Alpharetta. The salutatorian is Bryan Jackson, the son of R.W. and Nancy Jackson of Atlanta, members of All Saints Church, Dunwoody.

Blessed Trinity High School

ROSWELL—The Blessed Trinity High School graduation for the class of 2005 was held on Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium with Archbishop-emeritus John F. Donoghue as the main celebrant. This is the second class to have completed all four years at the school since its opening in 2000. The class of 2005 is comprised of 198 seniors. The valedictorian is Caitlin Hildebrand, the daughter of Peter and Joyce Hildebrand of Marietta, members of St. Peter Chanel Church, Roswell. The salutatorian is Daniel Strickland, the son of Robert and Lynne Strickland of Woodstock. The school’s Baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Thursday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Brigid Church in Alpharetta with Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory as the main celebrant.
