A special Mass in honor of recently retired principal Joan Tiernan will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption School on Sunday, April 24, at 12:30 p.m.

Tiernan, who joined the staff in 1979, served as the principal of the school for over 12 years. She retired in early March.

All are invited to the Mass, which will be held in the school gymnasium and followed by a reception.

Our Lady of the Assumption School is located at 1320 Hearst Drive.
