IHM School To Host Annual Auction

Published April 7, 2005

Immaculate Heart of Mary School will host its second annual auction on Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. This year’s theme is “A Tailgate Party.” All are invited to join the IHM community as the gym is transformed into a fantastic tailgate setting filled with great food, fabulous auction items and a giant wall of fame filled with photos and memorabilia from days gone by. Attendees are invited to wear their letter jackets, sweaters or sports jerseys from the “good old days.”

Classes are busy putting together themed baskets for the auction while parents and the community have generously donated other items including a U.S. flag flown over the nation’s Capitol, handmade quilts, lake house vacation, sports items, family fun packages, theater tickets, artwork, trips, jewelry, cooking classes, painted toy chest, spa treatments and more.

Money raised through the auction will be used for the school library, computer lab upgrades, teacher development and continuing education, and additional classroom teaching aids.

Admission is $15 per person and can be paid at the door. Immaculate Heart of Mary School is located at 2855 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta.

For more information on how to donate an item to the auction or to attend, call the school office at (404) 636-4488.
