Holy Trinity Church To Host ‘Día De La Familia’ Preventive Health Fair

Published March 3, 2005  | En Español

Holy Trinity Church will host a Preventive Health Fair, “Día De La Familia,” geared toward those without health insurance. The fair will be on Saturday, March 19, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. The services offered at the fair are completely free. This fair is not exclusive to Hispanic people, and all are welcome to attend. However, interpreters will be available to help Hispanic attendees communicate with the various physicians and nurses who are donating their services at the event.

Last year about 800 people attended the health fair, and planners hope that even more will participate this year.

There will be screenings for breast cancer, diabetes, HIV, nutrition, spinal column problems and more. Those wishing to be screened for diabetes or cholesterol level are encouraged to fast before attending.

Hearing, vision and dental exams for children starting school next fall will be available, and the necessary forms for the county will be completed, as appropriate.

The Colgate-Palmolive Company will send their state-of-the-art dental screening bus, which will provide education on how to have the best oral health possible.

The fair includes prizes, clowns and lots of fun for the whole family.

Holy Trinity Church is located at 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City. For more information please call (770) 487-5352.
