Annual Scout Mass To Be Held At IHM Parish

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will celebrate the 2005 archdiocesan Scout Mass on Saturday, March 19, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 1 p.m.

The annual Mass will honor all youth and adults who are involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire programs in the archdiocese.

Preceding the Scout Mass, the Catholic Committee on Scouting will be hosting a Bishop’s Brunch for the priests and youth ministers of the archdiocese, where Archbishop Gregory will be the keynote speaker.

At the Scout Mass, emblems and medals for the Al Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII, Marian Medal and Spirit Alive will be presented to those who have completed the requirements for these awards and have passed the Board of Review. Adult recognitions, unit awards and Bishop’s Trophies will also be presented.
